Hello world, let me introduce myself. My name is Sakari and I'm a happy bouncy gal that is wanting a home, a family...one to call my very own.
Did you know that Sakari is a Native American name meaning 'sweet'. And did you also know that there is a Native American legend that if you have 2 different colored eyes you can see both heaven and earth at the same time? Pretty cool, huh?!!!
I'm around 2 years and 54lbs. I am that pawsome medium size for anything you've got up your sleeve (and you can always count on me to be game to give it a try). I love long walks, hiking nature trails, being your co-pilot on errand runs or just chillin on the couch.
I'm a well balanced social gal that does well with people, both tall and small and the other foster pups too although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those creatures y'all call a cat!
I'm active, playful and love to explore...everywhere!
I have tons of love ready to be unleashed on my family and I'm big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet. Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

(3) educate the public on proper horse care and husbandry
(4) offer assistance to equine owners in times of natural or personal disaster
(5) rehabilitate neglected and abused equines
(6) accept donations of rehomeable equines for adoption and placement
(7) adopt equines into thoroughly vetted homes
