Apollo is 6yo, weighs 90lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccinations, but is not microchipped. He knows 'sit', 'stay', 'lay down', 'wait', and 'drop it'. He's at home alone 8 hours per day and has free roam of the home. At night he sleeps either on his bed in his guardian's room or in his guardian's bed with her. Apollo doesn't like/fears being closed in a room alone. Regarding riding in the car, he whines the first few minutes but then is good.
Apollo's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:
" He has been acting out ever since I had a baby last year. He’s been peeing in the house, getting into the trash, his anxiety is through the roof, and he is too rough with the baby. I don’t have the time to give him the attention he needs."
Apollo's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "Minor knee injury last November."
Apollo's guardian states the following regarding children: Although Apollo lives with children (ages 3, 7, and 9), his guardian doesn't recommend his living with children, OR living only with older children, stating "He is too rough and nips while he plays. He would bo best with no children or older children."
Apollo's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Although Apollo has lived with a dog, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "He's extremely dog reactive. He will go after any dog or any animal in site".
Apollo's guardian states the following regarding cats: Although Apollo has lived with a cat, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats, stating "Very high prey drive. Will try to kill any cat he sees".
Apollo's guardian describes him as:
Very active
Playful
Friendly
Shy
Likes to be touched
Affectionate
Protective
Always at your side
Nervous
House-Trained
Crate-Trained
Likes men
Likes women
Separation anxiety
Apollo's guardian describes his ideal future home:
"Apollo’s ideal home would be with someone who has plenty of time to give him the love and attention he deserves. Apollo is a very smart dog, but he is extremely anxious and requires a lot of attention and work. I would want him to have a nice yard with a privacy fence with no other animals or young children in the home. Someone who could build his confidence so that he’s less anxious and is able to play fetch with him in the yard."
Rehoming Fee: $200
Location: North East, MD
