My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alana...she is a 2.5 year old orange and white female tabby cat.  Alana came to us over a year ago from a less than ideal situation :( She was living in a very sad hoarding situation in deplorable conditions with over 70 cats - all who were not fixed or vaccinated. It has taken us over a year to get her healthy and ready for adoption. Alana is such a sweet cat and wants nothing more than to be given attention (and she will never say no to a treat).  She is living with other cats currently and doing well.  Now she is looking for an owner who will love her and treat her like royalty!  Alana also is fond of playing - the laser pointer and feather wand are her favorites.

Now a little info on Alana's prior medical background.  First, Alana did test positive for FIV but everyone that follows us knows that is no big deal. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives and can live with non-FIV cats as long the cats get along. We are happy to answer questions about FIV.  Secondly, due to her past living situation, Alana is what we would call a chronic "snuffler" and will probably always have eye discharge and some crust around her eyes.  We add immune supplement to her wet food daily which seems to help.  Lastly, Alana contracted FIP.  FIP was previously an incurable illness, but now there is an approved  FIP treatment available which Alana completed (168 days total). At this time, she does not require any future treatment for FIP. Just like with any animal (as they are living breathing creatures), we can never guarentee what may happen in the future. We are happy to answer any questions an adopted may have about FIP.

Alana is spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, and is microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption).

All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion.
