What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Nelson is approximately 2 1/2 years old. He previously belonged to a neighbor but he had no vaccines and was left to wander outdoors. After trying for weeks to brush the mats out of him, I gave up and had the groomer shave him. I then took him to the vet for his vaccines. Nelson is a little shy until he gets to know you. He was previously abused by a different neighbor since he was not contained by his owner. The vet believes he was beaten with a bat. He had a broken right front leg at the shoulder that has now healed. He is a wonderfully playful, sweet dog who loves to cuddle. He is great with kids and other pets. The ONLY reason I am rehoming him is because I have 4 other dogs and am getting older and just cannot manage another addition. I took him in to get him healthy and make sure he was safe and could no longer be abused. He requires a leash or a 4ft fence to keep him contained since he was used to roaming freely. He has an awesome personality and is a sweet guy.
