My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Panda a handsome mixed breed dog who's looking for a loving home. Panda was moved to a foster home from our local shelter after spending 11 months there.  She is appx 2 years old, full of energy, and is very affectionate.

Panda is good with other dogs and loves to play.  Her foster mom says she has never met a sweeter dog!  She is easy to walk on leash.

Panda has a kennel with indoor/outdoor area and she always goes out to potty, so we think she would be housebroken if staying indoors.

Panda is looking for a family or special person all her own who can provide her with lots of love, attention, and exercise. She is very smart and eager to please.  She would do well in an environment where she can receive guidance and training.

Panda has been waiting patiently for almost a year to find her forever people.  Could you be her forever person?

Additional adoption info

Who says you can't buy love? Our adoption rates say different. Our adoption fee covers the pet's spay/neuter, vaccinations, heart worm testing, and worming. We require interested parties to complete our adoption application with veterinarian and personal references. If approved we will work with you to schedule a meeting with the pet, and if you decide to adopt, our contract is the last step. We do not adopt to homes with intact pets or to people under 21 years of age.

Go meet their pets

All our adoptable pets are in foster homes where we socialize them with people and other animals. Along with adoption events we are an agency partner with the PetSmart store in Spring Hill, TN, in The Crossings shopping center as well as PetSense in Columbia, TN. Our cats can be seen during store hours in the Cat Adoption Room. Due to Covid, store times vary so please contact the store prior to your visit to see what we have available. If you are interested in meeting one of our furbabies, simply contact us, and we will work with you to schedule a meeting. Since we are an all-volunteer rescue, please be patient, as it may take up to 72 hours for a response. Thank you!

More about this rescue

We believe that pets are family members who fill our lives with joy and meaning. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group that strives to make a difference in the lives of animals within our rural community in south central Tennessee. Through our Spay/Neuter Program for Giles County residents we know that the result will be a huge reduction in the amount of unwanted cats and dogs in our County.

Rescues exist because of the overpopulation of cats and dogs. About 2.4 million healthy, adoptable cats and dogs are put down in U.S. shelters each year. Often these animals are the offspring of cherished family pets. Spay/Neuter is a proven way to reduce pet overpopulation, ensuring that every pet has a family to love them.

The Giles County Humane Association lends a voice to those animals who cannot speak for themselves.
