Meet Topaz, an 8-year-old female dog in search of her forever home! She adores lounging on the couch and takes pleasure in serene walks through the woods. Topaz has been an excellent office companion here at the shelter - she`s been quiet, respectful of the space (read: not messy or destructive), and okay being left alone - though she will make sure to show she`s happy when her officemate returns! Topaz prefers a tranquil setting and would be happiest as your one and only canine companion. She`s also spent some time in a foster home, where she turned out to be a real cuddle bug and was doing well with her housebreaking routine! If you’re looking for a sweet companion to relax with, she’s the one for you!

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat areas will remain open to walk through.

Northeast Animal Shelter, established in 1976, is now part of the MSPCA-Angell, giving us a better opportunity to serve our community, provide additional life-saving programs and services, and protect more animals from cruelty and neglect.
