For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Toby is an 8-year-old, 25-lb, neutered male Cocker Spaniel. He is chipped, current on his vaccinations and has been regularly groomed. He loves camping, hiking and will be outside basking in the sun any chance he can get. He would love having a back yard to run around. He gets so excited on his daily walks that he tends to pull. He has been using a gentle leader with great success for the last several months to help control his excitement when walking. Since Toby enjoys being the center of attention, he would thrive best in a single pet home environment where he can get all the play time and snuggles he needs. When it comes to other dogs, he has the mindset of "You leave me alone and I'll leave you alone." He likes to play with humans and not so much with other dogs. This is most likely due to him not having much exposure to other dogs a majority of his life. Toby hasn't had much experience with smaller children either. Toby uses a doggy door and has never been in a crate for training purposes..
Toby is a sweet, protective boy who loves raw carrots, green beans, and peanut butter Kongs for treats. If you would like to Meet Toby and perhaps add him to your home, please fill out an application on our homepage at https://luckydogrescue.org/adopt/?id=0228db26-7623-11ef-8ba5-06c949cedc83 His adoption fee us $350

Lucky Dog Rescue came into existence after one individual started saving one dog at a time back in late March of 2004. It began as a Dalmatian rescue, originally named Phoenix Dalmatian Station.
After seeing so many nice, highly adoptable dogs sitting in concrete cells in the county shelters, being put to sleep when no one came to the rescue, it quickly evolved into an all breed commitment, and we began saving several other breeds and mixes too! We are now a growing group of dog lovers who help all breeds and are committed to giving dogs a second chance at finding a forever home.
