My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
These pets were brought in by their previous owner.

Why these pets are the ones for you:
Bear is a friendly and funny cat who uses his kitty litter, keeps himself clean and is a well behaved indoor cat. At a little over a year old, he still may have some kitten silliness in him which will make you laugh. And, we can not guarantee that you won't find him on top of something where he should not be or under something where you can not find him. After all, he's a cats...and a big cat - but they may still think that your lap should be shared. A high cat tree, a scratching post and some toys will be appreciated. Come on down to our San Diego campus to meet this beautiful cat and learn more about him!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
