My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Montana, the tiny superstar who's living the best of both worlds-fun by day and snuggles by night! This adorable hamster may be small, but she's got a big personality that shines. Hammy Montana is ready for her next big adventure with a family that can provide the right enclosure-with plenty of space, enrichment, and comfy hideaways. She is a Roborovski dwarf hamster.

Like most hamsters who are nocturnal, this little girl sleeps a lot during the day. However, she does enjoy running in her exercise wheel when she is out and about. She is a curious, active little hamster who is a joy to watch! Her absolutely favorite thing to do is burrow deep down into her pile of paper and make a nice, cozy nest for herself.

Hamsters are fairly quiet companions but adopters should have knowledge of proper hamster care and set up so Montana can have a good diet and plenty of enrichment to keep her happy and healthy.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
