My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Bora was brought in by her previous owner on March 2, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Bora! Bora is a lovable dog with a zest for life and play, making her a great fit for an active household ready for some furry fun. Though she might need a little time to adjust to her new home, Bora's friendly nature and affection will soon shine through. Toys are the best way to bond with this playful girl, she just can't get enough of fetch! Bora has a tendency to guard what is dear to her from other pups, because of this she would likely benefit from being the only dog in the home. If there is another potential canine roommate, make sure to bring them along to meet so that we can ensure they are a good match. She would thrive best with older respectful children. If you're ready to welcome this fun-loving girl into your heart and home, bring a leash and collar and come meet her today!

Shy/Fearful Dog: Bora requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
