My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Grinchella was brought in by a community member on August 24, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Introducing Grinchella! This sweet, high energy girl is always delighted to see you! Grinchella loves to crawl into your lap and give you kisses! That being said, she can have some difficulty handling her excitement and may need a moment or two to calm down from all her joy when greeting people. Other favorite pastimes include rolling around in the grass, playing with toys, wagging her tail as fast as possible, and just being a goofball! Grinchella wasn't feeling her best when she first came into the shelter, but with a little TLC, she's feeling much better and is ready to find her new home! Grinchella needs a caring family who will work with her to help her learn her doggy manners and become her best self. An active household that can keep up with her spirited nature would be ideal. If you would like to meet with Grinchella, bring a leash, collar, and head on over to meet her today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
