Meet Scooby, an adorable Dachshund/Lab mix with the sweetest big brown eyes that show his deep desire to be loved. Scooby is a playful and affectionate pup who quickly learned to sit, showing off his smarts! He’s incredibly social, loves being around people and other dogs, and thrives on attention. Scooby doesn’t enjoy being left alone in a crate and would much prefer snuggling in bed with his human. A fenced yard and a family to shower him with love would make Scooby’s tail wag with joy. In return, he promises to be forever loving and loyal!

Scooby’s adoption fee is $100.00 and includes first shots, worming, and sterilization required at 6 months. Optional microchipping and registration is available for an additional $20.00. Please fill out an adoption application and a volunteer will contact you. You must complete the adoption application at the Heber Springs Humane Society website and not on Adopt a Pet.

We have an adoption contract and adoption fees. The fee for a dog is $100.00 and a cat is $60.00. The fee includes mandatory spay or neuter and vaccinations.
If calling about an animal you may have to leave a message. Your call will be answered as soon as possible.

Our shelter is located at 49 Shelter Lane in Heber Springs, Arkansas. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

More about this shelter

Our orginzation was founded by Doug Bakko. Funds were raised to build the original shelter on land donated. The shelter has since been expanded using donations and fund raisers. We are the only Shelter in Cleburne County. Our operating funds come from our Thrift Shop, donations, fund raisers and some assistance from the city of Heber Springs, surrounding towns in Cleburne County. We work very hard keeping animals happy and healthy. We do this because we love animals and want to give them a safe haven and every chance possible to go to a loving home.
