Hey there, everyone! I’m Winifred, a really affectionate, friendly, cuddly, and petite Bombay mix gal who was named after the witch Winifred Sanderson in Disney’s Hocus Pocus movie. With our shiny black patent-leater coats, Bombay mixes are often called “Velcro cats” because we like to stick close to our hoomans, and I’m no exception. My favorite spot to cat nap is snuggled right next to Foster Meowmy’s thigh. I crave the individual attention that she lavishes on me when she coos sweet nothings in my ear and gently strokes me.
I was a sweet, friendly five-month-old stray who lived at a trailer park when I had my first litter. Five months later at ten months old, I was pregnant again with my second litter. A nice lady who lived in a trailer park spotted me and brought me inside her trailer to protect me from the pit bulldogs who were running loose outside. Sure enough, I birthed the four #Hocus-Pocus kittens in the trailer, but it was too many cats in a small space with the resident cats who already lived there. The nice lady became overwhelmed and considered putting us all outside. Fortunately, her daughter reached out to a work colleague, who agreed to take us into her home.
My kits, Sarah, Mary, Billy, and Binx, and I have all thrived in foster care. Now that I’ve nurtured them and taught them all the manners they will need to know, I’ve permanently retired as their doting momma. (Thank you, Foster Meowmy that I can now have a life of my own and not one forever dedicated to being the best momma ever.) Foster Meowmy’s two-year-old son makes me nervous, so I steer clear of him, and after living outside with trailer-park pit bulldogs, I cautiously hiss at the resident dogs on the other side of the foster-room door. Although I haven’t been introduced to the resident cats, with proper introductions, I would probably do okay with friendly, non-aggressive dogs and cats.
Now I’m ready to find a lovely home where I can be the center of attention for a change. If you’re looking for a low-key, gentle, cuddly lap cat who loves people, I’m your gal! Arrange to meet me today! My heart has soooooooo much love to give – all I need is YOU and your lap!
