Udon is a 2 year old Miniature Schnauzer x Dachshund mix who can’t wait to slurp up memories in his forever home! Udon was rescued off the streets of Southern California where he was living as a stray. A good citizen picked him up and brought him to one of our volunteers and the rest was history. After a few baths and a good brushing, he was looking as good as new and ready for his second chance. If you’re ready for a delicious bowl of adorable dog, order Udon today!

Udon is a sweet and loving little guy looking for his person to help him blossom. It took him a few days to get comfortable in his foster home, but once he felt safe he started showing his people how amazing he is. He loves belly rubs and will lounge next to his people on the couch as they read or watch tv. He’s also a huge fan of scratches and getting his coat brushed until it’s shimmering. Udon is super smart as well and would be a fabulous dog at any training class. You might be surprised to hear, due to his smaller size, that this dude could be a fabulous running buddy. Once he gets the zoomies there is nothing that can stop him from chasing a toy or a bumblebee around the lawn. He’s still building his confidence but as his personality comes out we’ve seen how much potential he has. We’ve even started to see some glimmers of silliness as he sticks his little tongue out. The world wasn’t as kind to Udon as he deserved in his past life but we know he will grab his second chance by the paws and not let it go. Udon’s favorite discovery? He loves listening to Taylor Swift! He’s ready to become a full Swiftie! This bowl of adorable pup is just amazing.

Udon wakes up at 7 AM and heads out on his morning walk with his foster sibling. He comes home for a morning meal and then shows off his zoomies until he is ready to settle down for a morning nap. He gets a few short walks during the day to stretch his legs and do his business. Udon has an afternoon snack at 1 PM and then spends some time zooming around the house with his collection of toys. He sometimes hops on the couch and gets some cuddles from his people. After the workday ends, Udon gets a longer walk before he has his dinner at 6. In the evening, Udon chills in the living room and unwinds until he is ready for bed.

Udon lives with a resident tiny dog right now and has built his confidence watching him. Our ideal placement for Udon is as a companion dog to a resident pup. Udon loves his human teenage foster sibling. Udon walks well on a leash but would benefit from some additional training. Udon is the kind of dog that will require patience as he settles in. Once you’ve gained his trust, he is yours forever. If you’re ready for a faithful and loving companion, bring home Udon today.

Udon is only an option for homes who currently own a dog. Kids in the home should be over the age of 12.
