Get ready to meet Shadow, a 10 week old Maltipoo, the pint-sized, black fluffball who believes that following you around is a full-time job! She has a non-shedding coat which will mean going to get her 'hair done' is in her future. She's a great option for those who have allergies or just want less fur.

This little lady is an expert in “Puppy Eyes” and has perfected the art of stealthily appearing wherever you are. Whether you’re working from home, staring intently at your study notes, or simply trying to relax with a snack, Shadow will be right by your side— internship unpaid, of course!Every breath you take, every move you make, she'll be watching you....

Mornings at Shadow's house kick off at 7:00 AM sharp, when she engages in rigorous playfight training with her foster brother, which mostly involves lots of adorable tumbling and the occasional “let's steal each other’s breakfast” strategy. Although she’s not one to wolf down her meals like a vacuum cleaner, you might find her grazing all day like a classy little lady. Who knew breakfast could last for hours?

During the day, Shadow is the unofficial morale booster of the household. As you dive into work or study mode, this fluffy bundle of energy will offer endless “helpful” suggestions—mostly of the “Let’s play fetch!” variety. After her busy evening of keeping the couch warm and executing top-secret snuggles, she wraps up her day by gently reminding her humans that 10:00 PM is officially “cuddly bedtime,” where every minute spent snoozing is multiplied by cuteness!

But wait, there's more! Shadow is not just a dedicated follower; she’s also quite the entertainer! Her idea of a wild party involves chewing on her collection of toys (especially the squeaky ones) and offering puppy kisses like they’re hotcakes. A treat connoisseur by nature, she considers every nibble a gourmet experience!

And don’t worry about potential puppy-related messes! This clever cutie has mastered the art of potty pad training and is newly exploring the great outdoors for potty breaks. Just keep those chew toys handy; Shadow’s teeth are coming in, and she’s determined to explore the wonders of chewable objects!

This little superstar could be searching for a family with playful children who can keep up with her frolicsome spirit and shower her with endless affection. She could join a home with a canine or feline BFF awaiting her arrival. If you’re seeking a loyal companion who will fill your life with love, laughter, and a sprinkle of mischief, look no further—Shadow is ready to step into the spotlight as your new best friend!

Shadow is an option for those who have had a dog in the last five years. We believe puppies need the most experienced homes, not the least. Puppies are a 'clean slate' and therefore are easily imprinted on which means an experienced home is best. She is an option for children over the age of 6.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
