Squash is a 1 year old Dachshund mix ready to start soup season with his forever people! Squash was rescued from the shelter after he fell off the truck on the way to the farmer’s market and found himself in need of a new home. Squash weighs 11 pounds and is the perfect tube shape for those who know and love the Dachshund breed. He’s been an utter delight to all he has met and we know he will provide the perfect addition to your family stew this fall! If you’re ready to find your new best friend, head on down and pick out the perfect Squash today!

Squash is a world class cuddler looking to win some more trophies with his forever family! Squash is one of the sweetest pups in the world, always wanting to be where his people are, soaking up their love. He loves sitting on your lap or being held like a baby in your arms for hours. It’s impossible to resist his puppy dog eyes and expressive eyebrows. Squash loves to be part of the action and happily trots around the house after his foster mom, but he’s also happy to occupy himself with his toys or the various smells of the yard when he needs to. He’s still quite the puppy so he has a lot of energy for zoomies, but once he’s tired himself out he’s ready for a long cuddle session. If you’re looking to make new human friends at the dog park, Squash will make sure your social calendar is full from now on as he charms the neighborhood! Squash also has the cutest little ears that flop happily as he trots along. Seriously, this gentleman is the perfect puppy package all wrapped up in a bowtie! We know that the family who is lucky enough to adopt Squash will have a lifetime of fun memories and loving cuddles in store. He’s got so much to show the world and he can’t wait to get started!

Squash wakes up at 8 AM and heads out for a morning stroll as he gets ready to start his day. He comes home from his walk and enjoys his morning meal. During the morning, he alternates between sunbathing on the patio, napping on the couch, and playing with his toys. He gets a mid afternoon snack (he loves apples and carrots) and gets a short potty break outside. After the workday comes to a close, Squash eats his dinner before heading out on a long walk where he sees all his canine friends. When he comes home, he lounges on the couch as he catches up on his Food Network shows. Around 10 PM, Squash heads out for one last potty break and then he settles into his soft dog bed for the night.

Squash has previously lived with other dogs and has a blast playing with his puppy pals. He walks well on a leash and adores his outdoor adventures. He is polite to all the critters he meets and has tried to befriend the local squirrel! What a gentleman this little dude is! Squash is about 90% house trained according to his foster mom. Squash would love a playmate in his forever home as his tail always wags a mile a minute when he gets to play. He would love to check out all the adventures the world has to offer with his forever people! Squash is ready to shower you in kisses and cuddles so what are you waiting for!

Squash is an option for just about any home. He’d be a fabulous first dog as he is just so perfect. Kids in the home should be over the age of 6.
