Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Viggo thinks the shelter is for the birds! Not for cats! And we don't blame her. The shelter can be very stressful for cats. It's loud, and cats don't like loud noises. Did you know how sensitive and impressive cats' hearing is? So the busy, chaotic shelter filled with hundreds of animals is no fun. This precious, striped gal wants to get out of here and into a forever home. ASAP!
I am an unaltered female, brown tabby Domestic Shorthair.
I was found near 4200 BLOCK W ARMITAGE AVE, CHICAGO IL 60639.
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
