My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:


Theodore is a sweet, cuddly, and low-energy dog who loves relaxing by your side but enjoys his daily walks (and sniffing every tree!). He would do best in a home with a couple or family with older kids who appreciate his gentle demeanor. If someone is a homebody, even better—Theodore thrives with company! He’s fine with other calm dogs but would struggle with a puppy.

He has some separation anxiety, currently managed with medication, but might do better in a quieter home where he gets plenty of attention. In the suburbs, where I first adopted him in 2020, he thrived without any anxiety and loved having a basement to hide from thunderstorms.

After my divorce, moving to NYC, and more frequent work travel, life has been harder for him. Theodore is a gem, and I want to find the best situation for him. If you're looking for a loving companion, he could be the perfect fit!

(P.S. He’s a border collie mix, and his age is an estimate as he’s a rescue.)
