My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT: CHIPPER is an sweet 17 lb cuddler. Our veterinarian thinks he is part Whippet/part Jack Russel Terrier and places his age at about 18 months old. We are looking for an adopter who will make CHIPPER the main focus of their life. Please do not inquire about adopting CHIPPER before reading this entire description. CHIPPER's adoption fee is $250.

ORIGIN: CHIPPER was rescued from an industrial area off Irvington Road. We posted to find his owner with the county and several internet sites but got no responses.

HEALTH: CHIPPER came to RoRescue with animal bites, very dirty and several ticks. We cleaned him us and gave him anti-tick treatment. We tested him for heartworm/tick fever and found he was NEGATIVE on both. We had him innoculated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready to review your adoption application.

CHIPPER's PERSONALITY: Chipper has come a long way since finding him as a stray scared pup. He has learned to walk well on his leash, loves head rubs and toys. We think tha he will make a very devoted pet for the right adopter. He likes other gentle, friendly dogs and is good with cats. He seems housetrained (but no guarantees) and has good house manners.

RoRescue requires a secure yard and safe environment for this dog.

ALL RORESCUE DOGS are vet checked, spayed/neutered, dental cleaning (if needed), microchipped and UTD on shots.

NOT DONE: Full blood panel/Valley Fever/Tick Fever/Heartworm testing is NOT customarily done, unless veterinary suggested

RoRescue adopts their dogs as INDOOR pets, with sufficient supervised outdoor exercise time.

We do NOT adopt to out-of area or out of state locations.

Contrary to popular belief, Rescue Groups do NOT get governement funding. We have to pay veterinary expenses thru adoption fees and donations. Please be considerate when planning to adopt a dog from a Rescue Group.
