My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We Double Dog Dare you to let Donovan be your one and only! With his bright eyes and winning smile, Donovan is always up for making new friends; he knows more friends equals more belly rubs! Donovan is loyal to his people, so he prefers to be the only pet in the home where he can be the center of attention- but don't worry, Donovan says there's more than enough of him to go around! And speaking of going around, Donovan is always down for an outing! Whether it's a long drive to get a pup cup, or a leisurely nature walk where he can sniff the trees and feel the leaves crunch under his paws, Donovan is the perfect sidekick. Most recently Donovan was taken out of the shelter for the day as a part of the Adventure Tails program! Donovan's Adventure partner for the day described him as "completely at ease, and "highly trainable!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.

Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.

Our Vision…
A safe, happy community for all people and animals.

The key to any successful organization or venture is a strong leadership backbone. And that is no exception here at the Fredericksburg SPCA. We wouldn't be able to change so many lives, human and animal alike, without the dedication of the following individuals.
