My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello there! My name is Inca. I am a super sweet, affectionate, fun, playful guy. A good Samaritan brought me, my mom and siblings to the SPCA. We were placed with a loving foster family until we were ready for our own homes. Well, I am ready for my forever home. Are you ready to take me home with you?

As you will notice when you meet me, I am missing my rear left leg. It got injured before I came to the SPCA and it had to be amputated. But don't worry as I am just fine! I don't miss a beat! I can run as fast as any kitten and play just as hard. What missing leg?! In fact, I am glad they removed it as I no longer have pain and can move better than ever. While there may be a little less of me to love, I am all that more loveable. I will return your love with gratitude and sweet purrs. After playing, I will enjoy snuggling and taking a nap on your lap. I know we will have a special bond, so come get me now so that we can start our wonderful, beautiful life together.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Four simple steps to adopt a pet
1. Visit the SPCA at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Visit with the pet you are interested in adopting to see if his personality fits your lifestyle.
2. If you are adopting a new dog and already have one at home, you will need to introduce them at the SPCA to ensure a good match. When adopting, please bring your current dog with you. Our animal care staff will assist you with introducing your current dog to the dog you are hoping to adopt. We also prefer when possible that all family members living in the home meet any new pet before adopting.
3. The SPCA adoption process takes approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. All paperwork, vaccination records, and microchip information will be provided at this time.
4. Take your new lifelong family member home!

We understand that sometimes potential adopters are at work or school, coming from long distances, or need time to gather pets and family together to meet their potential new adoptee. Because of this, the SPCA offers a 24 hour hold on adoptable pets.
Holds cost $30 for a 24 hour period.
