My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a transport set up to NorCal and OR leaving here from SoCal on 10/5/24 and we would love to add Autumn to our trip for the right family!
Meet Autumn. She is a 10 month old Maltipoo weighing approximately 10 lbs. Yes, at her age she is considered full grown, and at a healthy weight ❤️ Yes, she has hypoallergenic and doesn't shed.

She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a fecal test done that came back negative for all parasites, was given an antibiotic shot to aid in the healing of her spay, had a wonderful overall exam with our vet whom has cleared her to find a home all her own.

Autumn is incredibly sweet, but is very shy when she first meets anyone new. She is not mean at all!! She was just not socialized in her prior home so she will definitely need a patient, kind, understanding, and loving human to help build her confidence in the world, starting with the relationship she builds with her new person/family. If you have the time, and dedication Autumn needs to flourish, I PROMISE you that your heart will have gained purpose to LOVE a little one that will become one of your greatest blessings and sweetest friends ❤️❤️❤️

She is pad trained, as that's how she was raised in her prior home due to not having access to any secured outdoor area. Here, we have been working with her on house training, which she has been doing very well with and understands outside to potty. Leash time is also a work in progress, but she sure does love to stroll around in a doggy stroller for now which has been okay with us, as we want her to take in the world however she feels safe to do so and we are confident in time she will learn to LOVE all that walks bring, and will enjoy that neighborhood stroll side by side with her new human ☺️

She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in a crate at night only. During the day she has free roam of our home, and has really started enjoying being a part of our household. However, with our higher energy household at times, she will go back to her crate and either nap in her bed, or observe the other dogs from there, as it has become her safe place.

She is NOT a barker at all. She is VERY quiet, and serene tempered all the time. She does not act her age at all, and has a rather old soul. We truly believe she would do best in a quiet home, especially in the beginning while she settles in and acclimates. I do have full faith in her ability to become a lover for all that life has to offer, especially since she does so well on road trips around town and I'm certain she would love being part of longer trips, and vacations with her family in the future. It's all about baby steps with her ❤️

She loves her spa days with our groomer, and is learning the comfort and relaxation it brings to her every time. She is also very treat motivated, and LOVES a special snack here and there which we have no problem providing for her ☺️

She is amazing with all dogs and cats alike. Zero aggression. She can be with another dog, or cat in her next home, or she can be the only dog as long as she has her person there as companionship. She is definitely your companion dog. The kind of dog that will give your days reason to get up and start them with her by your side ❤️❤️❤️

Her prior owner went into an assisted living facility, and unfortunately could not bring Autumn with her. She didn't have any immediate family, or friends able to take her in, so her vet placed her into contact with us here, and asked us to please find her the home she deserved 💕

Her adoption fee along with its breakdown is on our website at breadoflifek9refuge.org. under her adoption listing. It covers her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, antibiotic shot given, fecal test, exam with our vet, along with her overall time, care, grooming costs, and training since with us.
