My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hidy do! I'm Jersey and I wonder where my "mom" is! You see I was picked up by Animal Control at an empty house. Soon after arriving at the shelter it was discovered that I had a microchip from many years ago. The address was from a near by community! The shelter called the number, but no one answered the phone. The nice folks here are going to help me find a new home. I know you will find this hard to believe, but I am about ten years old! I know...I look great, don't I? I am a shepherd/Aussie mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. One little problem did show up on my health check up. I am heartworm positive. I am not worried! I already have my first treatment scheduled! Maybe you could come by and meet me! Even better maybe you could adopt me!!

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
