My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Morning! My name is Barney and I have been voted one of the nicest and most loving dogs at the shelter! That's because when the nice deputy came to pick me up from a neighborhood, I got in the truck and got right next to him and laid my head down on his leg for the entire ride back to the shelter. I was so relieved to get some help and find safety from the streets. Anyway my owner never claimed me and now I can look for a new home. I am a terrier mix. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. If you are looking for a sweet love bug to add to you family well look no further! It's me!! FYI....Look on our Adoptable Pets page on Facebook and you will find video of me when I was first brought in by our kind humane deputy.

Additional adoption info

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
