My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hold your reins, because Mustang is the perfect blend of playful and calm, a Labrador mix who's mastered the art of puppy balance! When it's time for fun, he's got just enough energy to kick up his paws and race around the yard like a wild mustang (see what we did there?). But when playtime winds down, he'll settle in like a trusty steed after a long trail ride, happy to chill by your side.

Mustang's great with other dogs, making fast friends with pups of all temperaments-whether they're galloping or grazing. He's not one to stampede into chaos, though. Nope, this puppy knows how to read the room and dial it back when it's time to relax.

If you're looking for a dog that can be both your playful partner-in-crime and your calm cuddle buddy, Mustang's your guy. Ready to saddle up with this perfect blend of energy and chill? Mustang's ready to trot into your life and bring the best of both worlds!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
