Animal Profile: Lolo is a medium sized young adult (estimated 2.5 years) mixed breed from Hawaii who was a stray intake to the very full shelter and passed all her evaluations with flying colors. She gives good eye contact, wags her tail freely, and is easy to leash and handle. She is not reactive to dogs, even reactive ones, and really likes puppies (has probably had a few litters herself, but no more - she's spayed now!) She shows no resource guarding and seems familiar with cats (no aggression seen). In the play yard she did fantastic with both genders and all sizes, "softly social" and did not instigate rough play but participated with more playful dogs too.
Foster Update:
Lolo is a happy and sweet natured girl who loves to be with her people. This happy gal has lot of love to give and a lot of playful energy so the ideal person or family would be an active one who is looking for a pup to come along on adventures, hikes, car rides … whenever and whatever, this girl is up for it! Lolo loves to play chase and tug but equally loves to snuggle up! She has been friendly with everyone she’s met so far, winning folks over with her piercing eyes and sweet smile. Lolo is doing well living with a toddler but because she’s got high energy and needs some foundational training Lolo would be best suited with dog savvy kiddos or families with previous dog experience.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
