My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: The Top Gun Litter are joining us from Brekenridge, TX on 8/28. Mama Annie was a stray that joined Elphie's Animal Alliance, but with limited resources and lower adoption rates one of our local foster families stepped up to take them on in order to find them greener pastures. We will post more info on the puppies as we get to know them in foster care.

Foster Update: Rooster is a perfect blend of active and cuddly. He can be a bit anxious in new situations, but if  you give him time to observe and settle you will see his adventurous and rambunctious side come out. He has been around large dogs, small dogs, and cats and does well with all. He will rough house with our Great Dane and our cat with equal excitement. He loves to run sprints back and forth when he gets out of his crate and would do best in a home where he has people or other pets that are interested in playing with him. Rooster does not like to be alone so it will be important for him to be in a home with people who are home or lot and/or where he has another companion. He is crate trained, but will whine for attention after a time because he wants to be with his people. He is very smart and has already learned his name and started to recall when called. We have started early potty training with indoor potty pads and he has shown a dislike for going in his kennel and will wait to be let to use a potty pad whenever possible.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
