Butta Butta Butta Butta- rockin' everywhere!

Oh, what a sight for sore eyes! Butta is fresh on the adoption scene at only 1 year old this boy is looking for a new start. He's just 50lbs of Am Staffy mix and we adore his cheesy smile! We're still getting to know Butta, but his previous owner gave us a ton of important info on his behavior and skills!

Butta is housetrained and friendly with other dogs. He hasn't interacted with many kids- so we'll confirm that in his upcoming behavioral evaluation. Butta knows many commands like sit, come, stay, and leave it. He is not neutered but that will be taken care of upon his adoption! We'll post more about Butta when we get to know him! The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
