Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clouseau is the smallest pup in Brigit's "frenchie" litter. He weighed 3 lbs at 7 weeks of age. Their mama is a poodle mix, dad unknown
but I suspect he is a small brown short coated guy! Clouseau is now 8 weeks old and gets his second vaccines this friday. He is the most inquisitive of this bunch.
He was the first who wanted to go outside. He seems fearless around the other dogs in the house. All of these pups were small enough to walk through baby gates
and he is still able to do that. Clouseau is a great entertainer! His adoption fee of $300 includes his l rabies/tag, microchip and neuter when these are all done at the same appt time.

The ideal home for this Real Good Dog will have a secure fenced yard. A solid history of excellent vet care for current or previous pets is required. Preference will be given to applicants who have specific breed experience and own their own home.
Please visit www.realgooddogrescue.com to submit an electronic application if you are interested in adopting this or any other Real Good Dog.
Adopters are encouraged to initiate their 30 days free pet insurance as soon as they take possession of the pet. Do this by calling PetFirst 855-710-7387
Adopters may also INITIATE transfer of the pet's microchip by going directly to the chip company's website and following instructions. Your adoption paperwork has the microchip #, company name and you have an adoption agreement showing transfer from rescue to individual.

Their adoption process
Additional adoption info
We have an online adoption application and this starts our process. Locally, we meet the adopter after approving the application to make sure everyone is compatible. For a long distance application to be approved, we rely heavily on a history of past pet care as verified by a veterinarian. Our adoption agreement states that the animal will be treated as a family member, given all necessary wellness care and emergency care and that if you are no longer able to care for the pet, you will notify the director of Real Good Dog Rescue about your need to rehome the pet.

More about this rescue
We are an all volunteer rescue organization with NO physical facility. We depend on individuals to foster the dogs in their home. The rescue was started by a native Memphian who wanted to do as much as possible to reduce the number of fine pets euthanized annually at our high kill Memphis Animal Shelter. Over the past ten years, we have accepted a lot more found dogs and owner surrendered pets that never had to go to a shelter. We accept what we feel we can live with and find homes for. We can't do nearly enough until spay/neuter laws and responsible pet owners outnumber the irresponsible pet owners.
