My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a spunky and playful pup to keep you on your toes? Hilda is here to deliver! She loves to chase toys and learn new skills. Hilda dreams of being an adventure dog. Hiking, jogging, doing dog sports like agility: this focused girl is up for any challenge you want to point her at. She doesn't prefer the company of other pooches, so her best-fit home would be with active adults as your one-and-only.

Hilda is enjoying a stay in a foster home! To make an appointment to meet her, call 828-761-2001 ext. 300 and leave a voicemail, or email adoptions@ashevillehumane.org.

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
