My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roscoe is a fantastic 4-month-old pup who came from our partner shelter in the South. It took less than 24 hours for Roscoe to charm all of us here at Start II.

Roscoe is the whole package! He's playful, sweet, easygoing, confident, fun, affectionate, smart, and responsive. He gets along great with people and other dogs. At four months old, he's active as expected but also gentle.

He walks well on a leash for a little guy in new surroundings, and is learning to do his business outside. He knows how to sit for treats, and we're sure he'll learn all other puppy manners fast.

We're always sad when a family decides they don't have time for their puppy and deposits him at their local shelter. But we know a new, fantastic family is going to be so happy and so lucky to provide his forever home. We'd love to see him go to that new home fast so he can grow up with the patience, love, care, and security he deserves. Roscoe will thrive in a home with adults, children, and other playful dogs.

Roscoe is up to date on vaccines and will be neutered before adoption.

More about this rescue

Save The Animals Rescue Team II (S.T.A.R.T. II), started in 1989, is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 status organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of homeless and abandoned companion animals. Twice a week we visit a local pound and take as many adoptable animals as we can. These animals are provided veterinary care, clean living conditions, exercise and socialization.

We work with potential adopters to find that perfect match…..giving them a "fur"- ever home for life. In addition, we educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering as well as offering low cost options, vaccinations, preventive medications, and proper living conditions for their new and existing pets.

This lifesaving work is critical for many of these unfortunate animals, since their only crime was to be born unwanted. Since our inception, we have rescued and placed over 7,000 dogs and cats.
