My story

Meet Milo, a 6-month-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a heart full of sweetness and a love for adventure! This playful pup adores car rides and can’t get enough of his favorite stuffed animal toys. Milo gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is great with kids, and is used to living with cats—he prefers to simply ignore them.

Milo is leash and kennel trained, though he’s still learning about house training and commands. With a little patience and guidance, this eager-to-please boy will thrive. If you’re ready to welcome a loving, fun companion into your life, Milo is excited to join your family!

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
