My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Southern Comfort? Mint Julep by the pool? My, oh my!

Y'all don't know who I am? I'm Mira 6.5 lbs of charm and beauty!

Sir! Ladies don't tell their age - manners! (She's 8 yrs old )

Sweet, sweet, sweet is what I'm told I am. No Sir, I don't raise my voice for anything. I've been impeccably trained I know when and where to take care of my business, a true lady. I adore carriage rides, in my 'stroller' or my special seat in your vehicle - I just adore venturing forth with my person, even to the veterinarian- they make so much fuss over me. Did I tell you I'm gorgeous?

When I retire at night I do need your assistance to get to my bedchamber. I have luxating patella issues in my back legs. No, absolutely no pain they just pop in and out, nothing slows me down. I'm willing to let you share my bed. As long as you don't thrash around - I sleep soundly and quietly.

I like nothing better than a good romp in the grass (giggle) and being with my forever person. My ideal home would be with a person who is home most of the time. Please, no children under 12 years old - don't get me wrong I like children but I'm petite and scared I'll get stepped on. I'm willing to share your affections with a similarly situated canine/feline or just the two of us (three if you are part of a couple). The type of abode is of no consequence, house, apartment ... as long as we are comfortable together.

I prefer my cuisine to be of the soft kind (my life thus far has been far from ideal, which has led me to loose several teeth). Mentioning life, I've lived alone for quite awhile, and I don't like it! I've kept my physical attributes in great shape. As I anticipate having a full and adventurous life with my new person. I'm very adaptable and socially oriented. Y'all I can't wait to start my new life. Hurry up and get here please

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
