My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Midas is a 2 ½-year-old, 54.9-pound Shepherd mix with a heart of gold. Since arriving at the shelter, he has been a friendly, happy boy who takes everything in stride. Midas loves to play and has a goofy, fun-loving personality that is sure to bring lots of laughs.

Though he enjoys being around his people, Midas is also an adventurer at heart and loves to explore his surroundings. If you`re looking for a laid-back but playful companion who doesn’t let much bother him, Midas could be the perfect fit for your home!

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcas@co.johnson.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
