Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Daisy used to be a breeding dog. We rescued her from a breeder and have provided a retirement for her. She is 8. She is sweet and cuddly but very shy. It will take her time to warm up. She is good with our 3 and 1 year olds but she is also timid and would probably prefer an environment with no children or older children that can respect her boundaries.
Daisy had benign mammary tumors removed about a year and a half ago, most likely related to her being bred. She has had no recurrences and no other health issues.
She loves to be outside and to be with people she trusts. She is fantastic on the leash and loves hiking and car rides. She is sincerely well-behaved.
If her anxiety is triggered, she may have accidents in the house. This was chronic when we first adopted her but rarely ever occurs now. We suspect she has a history of being abused. She needs to be with a gentle soul who is living a lifestyle fit for a dog. She also needs to be groomed at least once every two months.
