Meet Sarah!
Sarah is a lovely German Shepherd mix with an estimated birthday of 6/1/2021. She sports the most gorgeous black and tan coat, and is the loveliest girl. She weighs in around 55lbs. Sarah tends to be on the more shy side, she gains her confidence more and more as she spends time with you. Sarah does very well with other dogs, she is very much the pup in the pack who lets the others rule the roost and make the rules, and she's just happy to be included. She does have the prey drive you would expect from a shepherd, so cats and other small animals are not a good idea in her forever home. Sarah knows her name and is very smart, she knows basic obedience and spends lots of time working with her foster on her manners.
Sarah unfortunately has a pancreatic insufficiency, which means she has to have a special suppliment mixed into her food with every meal. Without this suppliment, her body can't absorb nutrients properly and she can't maintain her weight. She will need to stay on this suppliment for the whole of her life.
Sarah is fully vetted, microchipped. and spayed. Her adoption fee is $175. Her potential adopters may be subject to a home visit prior bringing miss Sarah home, and a fully fenced yard may be required.
