Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Walnut: The Little Survivor with a Big Heart
At just 7 weeks old, Walnut is already a testament to resilience and hope. This adorable puppy was discovered by the dedicated team at Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue amidst the chaos of the San Bernardino wildfires, specifically the Bridge Fire that ravaged much of the Wrightwood area. Walnut and his siblings were found huddled together under a house, drinking from a filthy puddle, a scene that highlighted the urgent need for rescue during such a devastating time. Despite the challenging start to life, Walnut's spirit shines bright, and he is ready to find a loving forever home.
Walnut is one of the lucky ones; we briefly met his parents during the rescue. His mom, a lovely Jindo mix with a stunning chestnut coat, weighs around 30 lbs and embodies the nurturing spirit of a devoted mother. His dad, a striking black and white cattle dog mix, weighs approximately 40 lbs and adds a dash of adventure to Walnut's lineage. With such a diverse background, Walnut is bound to inherit a mix of charming traits from both parents.
This little guy is full of energy and curiosity, typical of a puppy his age. He's learning to explore the world around him, playing with his siblings, and discovering the joys of toys and treats. Walnut's playful antics and affectionate nature make him an instant favorite among the volunteers at the rescue.
As Walnut embarks on his journey to find a forever family, he carries with him a story of survival amid disaster and the promise of a bright future. With a little love, patience, and guidance, Walnut is sure to grow into a loyal companion who will bring joy and laughter to any home. If you're looking to add a bundle of joy to your life, consider welcoming Walnut into your life!
Please send your inquiry to info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org and our volunteers will send out an application.
Walnut is located on the High Desert Area of SoCal.
We will also cover Walnut's neuter surgery when he is 6 months old, at Simi Valley Spay Neuter Clinic. We look forward to meeting you!
