My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a friendly and playful young male dog who is good with other dogs his size. He's 8 months old and weighs 49.2 lbs. He's an affectionate, curious, and funny pup who would be a great addition to any family. However, he's not good with small fluffy animals and cats, so keep this in mind if you have other pets. Smokey is an energetic and playful dog who loves to run around and explore, so he would love a backyard to play in. He's a quick learner and eager to please, so he's sure to pick up any training you want to teach him. If you're looking for a fun and friendly dog, Smokey is the perfect companion for you. Please consider adopting this sweet boy - you won't regret it! His adoption fee is $110. The adoption fee covers one set of vaccines including rabies, vet exam, neuter, fecal and general dewormer. More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
