Foster cat's bio for their adoption profile: Hi, my name is Dixi! I was a young mama when I had my litter of kittens. It was really stressful " out there" and another mama cat who had kittens befriended me. Together, we co- parented to raise our little ones. This is something that we sometimes resort to doing in order to give our " littles" the best chance of survival. That way, if something ever happened to me, my precious ones would have another mama to look after them. We were all dumped on a farm. The nice people gave us room and board until SCAT was able to take us in. We all went together to our foster Aunty.....2 of us mamas & 9 of our little ones. My colouring may be hard to see, but I'm suede grey with peach flecks throughout my whole body. I'm what you call a "torbie". I am friendly, relaxed, laid back and very quiet mannered. I'm also not a conversationalist ( means I don't talk much.....but I will give tiny mews on occasion). My manners are impeccable! I am easily picked up and travel well in the cat carrier. Aunty says I'm a good traveller. I don't gorge myself when I eat, so kibble can be left out for me at all times. I've got a very svelte figure ( I only weighed 5 3/4 pounds when I came to Aunty's). If you think you have a spot in your heart and in your home for me...... I AM READY! Hopefully, see you soon. Hugs, Dixi

More about this rescue
Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
