This gorgeous girl is Opal! Opal is here because her owner(s) were moving, so now this affectionate girl finds herself looking for a new place to call home. She starts out shy, but once she warms up to you she is incredibly sweet! Opal is good with children and although she hasn't lived with other pets, doesn't seem to be bothered by her feline neighbors. If you're looking for an all-around nice cat, please fill out an adoption application and speak directly to the feline staff for more information.

Opal's adoption fee includes:
Massachusetts Health Certificate
Spay/neuter surgery
Rabies vaccine for kittens over 3 months of age
1st FVRCP vaccine
1st deworming
Testing for Heartworm, FIV, and FLV
ID Microchip
Flea treatment including the use of Advantage monthly preventative
Ear cleaning, bathing, nail trimming, and other necessary grooming

Either submit an application in advance of visiting or upon your visit. Staff will approve your application as quickly as possible.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Meet with pets that are a potential to be your new family member. (This can be done prior to your application being approved.)

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have found the right match staff will go over all the information you may need to help make the adoption successful.

BHS Adoption Hours:

Monday: Closed
Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Sunday Afternoon: 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Closed to the public at Noon on the last Wednesday of every month.
