My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Watertown, MN

Meet Columbia, an adorable husky mix who will be ready for adoption when she is 8 weeks old. This girl will likely be a medium-large dog and is a little firecracker full of curiosity, spice, and puppy energy. She's ready to find her forever home!

Columbia has a big personality and out of her siblings she has the most the most husky tude'. She makes me laugh every single day with her sassy, spunky personality and I just know she's going to be someone's whole world. She's super confident in the world around her and is not afraid to go off and explore on her own without her siblings. She's playfully mischievous and I hear her little paws a running whenever I'm wondering where she's gotten off to. She loves to rough house and wrestle with her siblings, always the first to start up the puppy WWE matches, ha! I'm certain she would thrive with a family that wants an active, smart companion to become their new adventure buddy. Like all puppies, she is still mastering potty training and will need continued support and patience from her adoptive family to help her succeed. I've been starting the basics of training with this whole litter from a young age and Columbia in particular is so smart and a little food hound so she would do amazing with continued positive reinforcement training.

At this young age, socialization is key, and Columbia will benefit from exposure to new people, environments, and other animals. She gets along well with older, large adult dogs in the house and because she is so young I don't think that she would have a problem with cats. Introducing her to new experiences will help her grow into a well-rounded, confident adult dog.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

If you're ready to welcome a fun-loving puppy into your home and help Columbia grow into an amazing adult dog, we'd love for you to meet her!
