Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Darko was rescued with his two siblings in Puerto Rico. A kind family was feeding all three of them but couldn’t take them in. After one got hit by a car she knew she had to act and contacted a rescue. Darko had to have FHO surgery to repair the damage from his injury and now is doing so well! His repaired leg is coming along well and he will do great with consistent moderate exercise. Swimming would be a great thing for him; where are our water loving families?
Darko is GREAT with other animals and he is such a special dog, we’d love to see him find a terrific family to love on him for life! He will turn one year old soon and weighs 44 lbs. His foster family has two dogs and 3 young children and he is loving life there! He is definitely interested in open doors so will need continued training and just time to settle in and realize he is “home”
Interested in meeting Darko or any of our other cuties? Check out our adoption application.
Please note: we do not have a physical facility where the dogs are housed; they are cared for in our wonderful foster network throughout Maine. It is our expectation that, once approved, a potential family will meet the dog(s) in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.
