My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dr. Tooth, a charming senior gentleman with an MD in cuteness! At approximately 10 years old, Dr. Tooth’s journey began when he and five other dogs were left at a local shelter after their owner was evicted. While his friends were adopted one by one, Dr. Tooth remained, waiting patiently for someone to choose him. Determined to give him the loving home he deserved, we stepped in and brought him into our rescue, where he’s been dreaming of a forever home ever since.

Despite his age, Dr. Tooth is full of energy and curiosity. He’s active and loves exploring his surroundings, thriving on daily outings that keep him engaged and stimulated. He enjoys spending time outside, especially basking in the sunshine. Dr. Tooth’s zest for life makes him a perfect companion for someone who appreciates an active senior dog. While he’s quite spry for his age, he also values his downtime, curling up for naps and enjoying a relaxed pace at home.

Dr. Tooth’s endearing underbite, with a tiny bottom fang that always peeks out, adds to his irresistible charm. His gentle and loving nature makes him a great candidate for a multi-dog household, as he gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’s also a social butterfly who craves affection and attention from people. Dr. Tooth has a special fondness for treats and has developed a signature soft whimper whenever food is nearby, reminding you of his excitement for mealtime. As he enters his golden years, Dr. Tooth would thrive in a calm and quiet home where he can enjoy a slower pace of life. A household experienced in senior dog care would be ideal to help him transition smoothly and ensure his remaining years are filled with comfort and joy.

If you’re seeking a loyal and loving companion who will fill your days with joy and affection, Dr. Tooth is the perfect match. Despite all he’s been through, his sweetness and spirit remain undiminished. Dr. Tooth is ready to share his heart with a family who will cherish him as he deserves. Could you be the one to give him his happy ending? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
