My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Wendy (wjwebber119@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

A Guardian Angel is covering half of Zeke's Adoption Fee!

Zeke was rescued from a blighted section of Harrisburg's inner city when his caretaker turned foster mom discovered he was struggling to eat his wet food. He would cry out in pain. After seeing the veterinarian, it was decided that Zeke would have to have dental surgery. He is fully recovered and back to comfortably eating wet food again in his foster home! Zeke is a really sweet and gentle little boy who had a rough start in life. He would love a home of his own where he can spend his days lounging on top of a couch or in a warm sunbeam.

Despite having a full mouth extraction, during times of stress, his stomatitis can flare up. This can be controlled with steriods. Zeke is also in the very early stages of kidney disease. A low protein diet and plenty of water is the best way to handle this.

Zeke has been neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, microchipped and tested negative for FIV & FelV. Interested in meeting me?  Complete an on-line application!

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
