Hi! My name is June (my foster mom calls me Junebug) and me and several of my friends are all looking for forever homes. We were all surrendered to a small rescue by a backyard breeder who stated she was not able to care for us any longer due to family obligations. A volunteer with that rescue reached out to BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes! We were all pretty confused and scared when we first came into foster but with patience and TLC from our foster parents, we are each slowly coming out of our shells; foster mom says I am doing really good and loved to be held and get attention. I am a long-haired chihuahua mix, about 3 years old and I weigh just a little over 10lbs. I have gotten along with all of the other small/medium sized dogs I have met; I haven't bothered the cats I've encountered. I have been doing pretty good in my crate overnight without any accidents, barking or tearing up of any bedding but I would prefer to be out with you and cuddling. I also share my crate with one of my small friends and we eat side-by-side without any issues. I have never had a leash on before coming into foster and I have to say I'm not a fan of them, so I will need a securely fenced yard in order to take care of my business. If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org.
