My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Totti is an adorable 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, weighing just 13.5 lbs, who is looking for her forever home! She was rescued from a shelter after being placed on the euthanasia list, and since then, she has been thriving in her foster home. Totti is a happy, affectionate girl who loves attention from people and is fantastic with other small to medium-sized dogs. She enjoys spending time in the yard, running around and exploring, and hasn’t bothered the cats she’s encountered.

Totti has a good amount of energy and loves to play, making her a great companion for someone who enjoys staying active. Whether it’s playing in the yard or going on adventures, she’s always up for some fun!

Totti is almost fully house-trained and is doing great with her crate training—no accidents, no barking, and no tearing up her bedding. She’s also learning to walk nicely on a leash and is eager to be out and about with her person. Totti loves her food and takes treats gently, making her a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys rewarding her good behavior.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and well-behaved dog to join your family, Totti might just be the perfect fit! Apply to meet her at www.bcaaofnj.org.

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
