My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just try not to instantly fall in love with Havarti's adorable eyes. She is the shyer one of her three siblings. She is very sweet and takes a while to open up and feel comfortable, but she is very much worth the wait. Once she does open up she loves to be by your side. If given the chance, she will curl up next to you while you sleep. One of Havarti's favorite activities is crawling underneath the dishwasher with her brother Ricotta and popping out to startle you.

Havarti would probably do better in a more quiet home as she herself tends to be easily startled. She shows a little interest in the resident cats at her foster home and has no problem with the 85 lb resident dog. Are you looking for a quiet, cozy, simple life with a sweet kitten by your side? Then Havarti is the girl for you!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Havarti will need to be adopted with one of her siblings (Ricotta, Chevre, & Edam).

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
