My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Just try not to instantly fall in love with Havarti's adorable eyes. She was the shy one of her litter but has come a long way. She is very sweet and if you bribe her with a couple treats and a feather wand she opens right up.

Once she does open up she is a little wild child. She loves to play with the resident cats, zoom around with or without a toy, and thinks the resident dog's tail is the coolest thing ever.

When playtime is over be careful not to sit down. She'll make herself comfortable on your lap and trap you for hours. If not, she might disappear for a few hours to snooze somewhere out of sight, like under the bed.

Havarti would probably do better in a more quiet home as she herself tends to be easily startled. New people coming and going is not her favorite. Are you looking for a quiet, cozy, but endlessly entertaining life with a sweet kitten by your side? Then Havarti is the girl for you!

Kittens need buddies! We require that kittens be adopted with a sibling or go to a home that already has another young companion animal. If you already have a young animal or another kitten in your home, great! If not, Havarti will need to be adopted with another BKB kitten.

The adoption fee for a kitten is $250. For a pair, the adoption fee is $500.

Note: Kittens must be 10+ weeks old before they can go home.

Additional adoption info

If you’re thinking about adding a kitten or two to your family, a Bitty Kitty is a great choice! Kittens who have been bottlefed tend to be extra friendly and snuggly!

By adopting a kitten from the Bitty Kitty Brigade, you’ll be supporting our no-kill organization and making room for us to take in another orphan kitten.

All of our cats receive high-quality veterinary care and exams. Prior to adoption, all of our kittens are:

FeLV/FIV tested
spayed/neutered
treated for external and internal parasites
microchipped
FVRCP (distemper) vaccinated

Please allow 24-48 hours for a reply to an adoption inquiry.

More about this rescue

The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas.

Our mission is:
To provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population.

The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. Once weaned, the kittens are either transferred to one of our partner no-kill organizations or transferred to another caregiver within our organization where they will be cared for until adoption age.
