Taco and his mom, Tamale came to us as an owner surrender when Taco was a week old. Tamale ended up being a surrogate mom to Burrito, Pico, and Queso that also came to our facility when they were about a week old and were found outside at the Blue Ocean Restaurant. Taco is comfortable with other cats and even children. He is adorable lad with lots of love to give, although this love can overwhelm him and leads to him giving some love bites! These love bites are playful, but most definitely are a surprise sometimes. But we find that to be an adorable quirk of his! So come on down and get this adorable Taco today and adopt him!

All of our pets are posted online and we continue to take applications until they are actually adopted. Many times things change and an approved adopter does not adopt the animal so we do maintain a wait list when necessary.

All our adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, UTD on age appropriate Vaccines & started on Flea Preventatives. Felines are also FIV/FELK tested.

WE ARE OPEN for visitors from 12PM - 4PM Tuesday -Friday and 12PM-3PM on Saturdays or by APPOINTMENT at other times.

We suggest calling prior to visiting our adoption center to ensure the animal you wish to meet is here at our Center (some are in foster care) and still available. If you want to meet an animal that is being fostered an approved application & appointment is required first.

We do an adoption application process for all adoptions. All of our pets are de-wormed, UTD on vaccines, spayed/neutered, on flea/tick prevention and microchipped. Dogs are on heartworm prevention.

We are the Laurens County Humane Society we are a non-profit, 501c3 organization. We are run by a board of volunteers, and we are the only no-kill shelter in Laurens County! Our facility has been open since 2015.
