Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Skylar is approximately 4 years old and weighs 60 lbs. She is a super-sweet blue pit mix with a nice patch of white on her neck and chest. She has the most beautiful eyes and loves staring at her human friends while waiting for pets and kisses.
Skylar has had an unlucky chance at life these last few years. She is super smart and loves other dogs, but for some reason, the people who originally owned her could not properly care for her and others weren`t able to help her with the training and security she needs.
Being as smart as she is, Skylar has apparently been known to find her way out of back yards. SO.....it will be imperative (even if you have a fenced in yard) that you ask us for help recommending the best tie-out system with lead for extra support and security.
She is good with both girl and boy dogs, but dogs with a super amount of energy make her a little nervous, so we will need to introduce your pets here at the shelter with Skylar before we can approve her adoption. Cats are not recommended in Skylar`s new home.
Please come see Skylar and help give her the love she deserves.
If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.
