Meet Kookaburra , he’s a handsome 7 month old Australian cattle dog mix. Doesn’t he have the best smile. Kookaburra is one of 4 pups in the litter, her is in foster care and thriving. He is a very sweet dog, who loves everyone he meets. Kookaburra is a social pup, who has been known to have a good personality and he loves shenanigans . He loves breaking out his smile to show off when he’s happy ( which is almost always). Kookaburra loves attention. the more the better. He is wonderful with children and would do great in a home where he gets to grow up with children. Kookaburra is well behaved, and has good house manners. He enjoys playing with other dogs, every new dog he meets is his new best fur friend. Kookaburra will do great in any home, he has nothing but puppy kisses, wagging tail and adoration to give.

Kookaburra is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped.

Vet references and personal references verified, verify home ownership or rental and ability to adopt

Home Check

Virtual or in person

4.
Approve Application

Send out approval with information on canine, need to electronically sign. Adoption agreement. Review all aspects of the adoption agreeement

Pay Fee

Adoption donation accepted, welcome letter emailed with educational information to welcome your new dog home. Transport arranged

6.
Take the Pet Home

Adopters receive all vetting documentation and a welcome home goodie bag for new fur friend

Northbound Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting primarily independent rescuers in rural North Western Mississippi. With many of these communities battling overpopulation, low local adoption rates and climbing medical bills, Northbound Rescue forms a partnership with these rescuers to assist them with medical care, fundraising, transport and rescue efforts in the Northeast.
